Weekend Update By Me
I went on a date this weekend with a guy I met in NJ over Thanksgiving. We met up in Mystic, CT and went to the casino for the day. It was our second date and it was 10 hours long. We stayed in the same hotel (separate rooms of course).
I have to say that 10 hours flew by very quickly. However, I do not recommend a 10 hour second date. Now, I know what the comments are going to say. Everyone is going to ask what he's like who is and they're going to ask for all the details.
I will give you this, he has all his teeth, a great sense of humor and is extremely nice. That's all you get for now.
So, we're at the casino and we're sitting at this cafe and just talking, when a woman walks up to me and starts asking me questions. Of course she has a very thick accent and I can't understand a thing that she's saying. So she asks me if I'm Louisa or something like that. I tell her no and then she asks me if my date is my boyfriend. I say no. She says good, he's too old for you. You're a beautiful woman, he's too old. Then she went over to my date and asked if he was married. He of course didn't understand what she said and he's not sure what she asked so he says, I'm not sure. Then he told her that he was a priest and that's why he's not married.
I told him that strange people are drawn to me for some odd reason and he said it's the same thing with him. So, that should make for an interesting pairing.
Let the comments begin.

Those were some interesting questions she asked/commented! Kinda funny but absolutely surreal. At least you came our well :-)
I agree, that's a long date. I do love Mohegan Sun though.

Just thought of something else. Maybe she was your guardian angel?

Good for you!
You don't have time to waste these days so I know you thought carefully before agreeing to a second date.
And by golly it was interesting and he didn't do anything spectacularly stupid (unlike unnamed others)!
So, nu, will there be a third?

I really like this blog. I love the fact that the date had all of his own teeth. In the real world, that is critical. My legal assistant who is about 25 years younger than me asked me to go to look at a dress she was going to buy for a formal and see what I thought. The saleswoman found out I was not her father and spent the rest of the time asking questions to see if I was dating her.No, but at least I have all my teeth.
